So It's time changing in UK already, as I've acknowledged the time has been behind by an hour again while I was chilling with mates at Gate Crusher :P For those of you who do not know the place, it's one of the best clubs in Birmingham that if you come down to this city, you'll need to go to this place on a night out. The club looks amazing with lights and the space design, music is well spun by the greatest DJs in UK (such an appropriate place to learn about geography and time changes in the western areas Lol). Back to the topic, I came to realise the weather is losing its warmth of the beautiful gleams of the shining sun, and replacing it with wind boxing your ears every time going out and non-stop rain, clouds :( like a kitten hiding from the miserable weather, I just constantly wrap myself up in my blanket with Lauren and Louisa having tea or just a chin wag :P most of the time after my lectures. Oh yea, and tea as well :P loving those moments when you could just enjoy your peaceful time with a cup of hot earl grey's and listen to William Fitzsimmons (seriously, this guy's such a cracker, I literally could just listen to him all day long). So while there's still a little bit of sun out there, I feel like posting a summer/autumn look just for the sake of celebrating the end of summer/autumn and officially moving into winter :)
So again, this is probably the second time I have to apologise for my procrastination on blogging. In my defence, I was super busy with preparation for moving back to UK after 4 months long of summer at home and blimey, there was so much on my plate that took up 3 weeks of mine to get ready and settle down in UK, along with a huge piles of Uni work that I keep avoiding not to think about :(. To be honest, it was quite an emotional farewell this time for me as you would know that feeling when you've been to somewhere for so long, you'll get more attached to the place, not to mention that is my hometown where my family is in. To top it off, since my last month at home was so amazingly good with late morning wakeup, going gym, having spa, fancy dinners, night-outs with mates and most of all, driving in my own car :P or wot's seemed to be my car in the near future, as it was my parents' but I drive it all the time heheh xx Here are some shameless moments of my summer with me and my mates while we were together :D
First of all, my very sincere apology to all the fellow bloggers for this massive delay in my posts. I have to admit I am the laziest blogger on earth; but as God is my witness, I do not mean to become a lazy bum just lounging around the house every last day of the summer, plus all the trips I have to go on with my family just takes up all of my time to do a blog post and not everywhere I go is internet-available :( and that's not all. Since I've come back home, I've been struggling with finding myself a photographer, the thing with me is I always seek for the very best when it comes to doing a shoot for my post, unless I'm totally out of choices, then I'll have to go with the family's help (and trust me, none of them knows how to use a Canon 550D :P). And so the problem's been on for almost 2 months and 2 weeks which I was so gutted ( and I make counting of the days, Lol).
So it's been nearly 2 weeks (or 1, i dont remember Lol) since the special occasion and I know this post is quite behind the schedule but still, I've decided to publish this post as a tribute from myself to my birthday, heheh. At 12:20 A.M on 10th of July 19 years ago, a not so healthy baby boy was uttering his first cry while brought to the world, the doctors were afraid he could not make it through. But with all the love and determination from his beloved mommy and daddy, he has grown into this guy today, sitting here and sharing all of this to you <3.
I've been super busy lately with all the preparation for the driving test and now the trip to Singapore, and to be honest, that's not a pleasant feeling when everything comes to you at once whilst you are having not much time left :(. So I've been neglecting my blog for a few days and I feel terrible about it, which is why I feel like it's time for me to publish this post while in Singapore. YEP, I am in Singapore hahah, feels wonderful to be back to the place once were my home for 2 years. Anyways, as many of you may or may have been wandering about wot Im gonna be posting in part 2 of The House Of Couture, I'm just as excited and been working on this post to keep you all posted with my favourite collections on the runway as every of you have been because this couture FW 2014's definitely a full of surprises one. Well wait no longer, I welcome you back to the land of wonders, theatricals and beauty.
First up for the day, welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the party hosted by Giambattista Valli!!
First of all, I have to say it's such a clever idea of the head wraps used in this collection. It almost seems like a turbaned bandana, like you usually see from those high-classes women having lunch by the pool, ugh, just classy to the maximum.

Well, this post is quite off the fashion topic, and for some of you who don't know, I'm also a food lover :D. Basically, me and one of my mates already finished her A level in back in Singapore got a little reunion with each other, and the Lord knows how much I've missed her cause she's like my little sister to me, hahah. So to celebrate this special occasion, we've decided to hang out for some oh-so-special lunch. I have to say that was one of the best lunches I've ever had. Ever since I arrived home, there have been only a few chances I got to taste my hometown's traditional food, but each time is like taking a trip back in time to my childhood, simply divine. I would have never thought one day I would say I miss the tastiness of these foods, the simple but also very delicate of each dish made with different mixtures of herbs and spices that only my hometown would have. Without any further ado, here's the delicious meal I've had with my mate. And if you ever wonder where these dishes are from, they belong to the mid region of Vietnam :D
It might be quite early to talk about winter as we are all enjoying the golden sunshine, the hot weather and for some places, extreme humidity (I know I'm in one of them places Lol); but it's never too soon to talk about fashion, more specifically fall/winter fashion. After the men's fashion week for spring/summer 2015 has been released with eye-catching, jaw-dropping collections (or at least I did so when watching each and every show appears on screen), let's come back to 2014 with half of the year ahead and stunning fall/winter collections from the runway. There's nothing more exciting to me when acknowledging it's time for the couture FW 2014, as everybody, including myself, would be directed towards Paris, The House Of Haute Couture, awaiting for the latest trends to emerge from the catwalk. So this is the opportunity for me to share some of the highlights of my favourite couture collections from fall/winter 2014.

Having to say moving back from UK to Hanoi for summer consumes my whole energy immensely as the result of packing my whole room on campus ready to get kicked out of university for summer. Furthermore, it is a lot of work to do not just packing but also planning accommodation for second year, going shopping for my family (which is the only interesting out of the whole going home for summer thing), and not to mention plenty of emotions filling you up: excitement to be going home, sadness for leaving all your friends about to graduate, but mostly, for me, is worrying about the jet lag and the weather at home. When you have been used to the rain, snow, and everything cold after a year, taking yourself back to a place filled with crazy sun, the temperature going up to 40 degrees every single day, extremely humid and in a different time zone, takes more than just a few days of adjustments to your body, but even your commitment (trust me, it's been taking me the whole month). However, before getting back home for summer, i got to spend a few good last days with my mates both in Birmingham and later then London and no further said, those were the most pleasant days to begin my summer.
Although I mainly do posts on menswear, and the cruise season has passed by for quite a while and SS 15 is already here, I still keep thinking about how wonderful each collection in the cruise season was like Chanel, Elie Saab, Balenciaga, etc, and then it turned me to another thought of how fast paced fashion has been lately, which truly makes my head spin like a top, but it's still an exciting spin though, Lol. And so I feel the urge of doing a post on a women's collection during the resort season as it was impressively beautiful and I even had to download it to my Iphone so I can watch it EVERYDAY, especially at the gym. I hereby present to you again, some of the highlights of Dior Cruise Collection 2015.
Yep, once again, just one step away from the live stream shows like Fendi, Valentino, Gucci and so many other fabulous shows, I felt like it was not my fate to be able to witness the awesomeness that has been brought by Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2015 menswear collection. While lounging around with the very last episodes of Gossip Girl season 2 played on my laptop, I came to realise the show had been on live for almost 10 mins and there was no way I could get myself in. So mournfully I just could sit back and watch every single look came onto the website in images (btw, if anyone knows how to watch the live show on nowfashion.com please tell me cause I've been trying like who knows how many time just to catch new fashion shows coming up). I must say after the leaving of Mr. Jacobs, I'd never think Louis Vuitton could be as wonderful as before with the new designers. However, this spring 2015, Kim Jones has been able to transfuse his enthusiasm into the latest menswear collection and brought a new vibe and freshness, giving a new breath to Louis Vuitton.
"Red is the colour of life, of blood"; "It is the colour born on the
lips and it is the colour of passion, courage and fire"; "If you're sad,
add more lipstick and attack, men hate women who weep", as once said by
Mademoiselle Chanel. It is rather unusual to see the red shade appears
in menswear; but this season, red has taken over the runway and become
one of the signature colours in many spring/summer 2015
menswear collections like Burberry Prorsum, Fendi and Gucci.
Okay, I know it is the mid of June and it is no good to remind people of the cold and windy weather in the last winter or early spring. But since I am here hanging out alone, being a totally lazy human being with my Royce chocolate next to me, after having done my wash-up and laundry, now enjoying my night under this cool relaxing air from the air-conditioner (I know that's a lot of things to list), I've decided to take a little trip back in time to the day I came to Liverpool with a few mates of mine; when spring was in the air and the sky filled the golden sunshine and the lovely pure white and flirty pink tones of peach blossoms.
Around this time last year, i was on my very first few steps on becoming a fashion blogger. Unfortunately, timing has never been my strong suit as it was at the same time i had to worry about moving to the UK after finishing A level in Singapore and trust me, it was a whole lot of work to take care of especially when you have no idea what to do when you were then to become an university student about to move 6,230 miles away from home and live on a different time zone. And so saying goodbye to my dreams in the fashion industry was a big crush to me but i still held on to my hope that one day, I would be able to sit here again sharing my love for fashion.
